Washington Aircraft Dealer Surety Bonds

Anyone selling, exchanging or brokering aircraft in the State of Washington is required to apply for a license as an Aircraft Dealer. The license package can be found here on the Washington Department of Transportation website. Part of the application process includes submitting a $25,000 surety bond. Per Chapter 14.20 RCW, the bond offers protection for any person who has suffered any loss or damage caused by the dealer. If a claim is submitted, it could result in refusal, suspension or revocation of the dealer’s license. Existing Aircraft Dealers must renewal their license prior to December 31st of every year. Upon termination, the surety must provide 30 days written notice of cancellation delivered to Aviation Division Director of the State of Washington. Pacific Surety will ensure your bond is issued on the correct WSDOT form 900-041 to avoid any delays in the licensing process.

Pacific Surety offers industry low rates and can obtain approvals for almost all credit situations, with rates starting as low as .67% ($168 annually) for well qualified applicants. Once our simple application has been completed, we can have pricing to you within hours. If you have any specific questions, please contact our knowledgeable underwriting staff.
